How our service works
Lightning Protection Contractors is not a lightning protection firm. We are a small, free service that helps facilities managers, building owners, school business managers and church wardens across the UK find a specialist to test, repair or install a system, and this page explains exactly how.

Where the building is, what kind of building it is, whether it already has a system, what needs doing and why, and the best way to reach you.
We search
We look for a specialist who works in your part of the country and handles the job you described, whether that is a test, a repair or a new system.
You hear who it is
Usually within one working day we tell you the firm's name. Only once you agree do we send them your enquiry.
Their price, your call
The specialist checks the building and the system and sends a written price. You are free to say no, and if you say yes the agreement is directly between you and them.
Who we are not
Lightning Protection Contractors is the name of this website, not a firm, and we are unconnected with any business using similar words. We do not design, install, test or sell anything ourselves.
What we will never do
- Charge you anything or ask you for a deposit.
- Send your enquiry to a firm before you have agreed, or to anyone other than the firm we named.
- Price your job ourselves. Only the specialist can, once they have seen the building.
- Sign you up for newsletters or sales emails.
How the service is paid for
When we introduce you, the specialist pays us a fee. You never pay us, whatever you decide.
About our prices and guides
Every figure here comes from published price guides, diocesan guidance or public contract notices, and each page names its source. Use them for budgeting, not as a quote. Our notes on BS EN 62305 and the regulations are general guidance, not engineering or legal advice.
